A note on cupcakes...

This is just silly, but I just have to get this out.

A Cupcake is a specialized treat. It is a self contained treat. It is made to be eaten with your hands. The whole purpose is so that you will not need a utensil. This is apparently important to me because I got frustrated today when I saw someone in my department at work digging their cupcake out of it's wrapper using a spoon. It's a cupcake, just eat the cupcake. No offense to anyone who eats cupcakes with forks or spoons, but this person was putting in so much effort it just didn't seem worth it.

In other news the cupcakes had hello kitty rings in the top and I got someone to eat a cupcake and give me the ring. lol. Love it.

Mad Tea Party 2011

Welcome to my Party!! Feel free to grab a cup and a chair.  The table is set and waiting.  Pretty veggies... All kinds of berries... The tea service awaiting the first guests... Zoe looks frightened...she doesn't trust mad people (how does she live with me? lol) I am all dressed up and ready to party.  With my cupcake socks.  And my tiny top hat (received in an Alice swap)  Cupcakes, Berries and are those cucumber sandwiches.  Pouring the tea for my party guests.  Berries, Candy and a full cup o tea.  Quoi??  Having a chat with my very mad Mother.  My Mothers amazing tea hat.  4 pots of tea consumed hundreds of laughs  good friends lots of food What a fabulous party!!  Thank you for stopping by, have a fabulous tea day.  Clean cup, move down. Betsy's Gypsy Dreams

When I was a little girl I would sit on my front porch reading and dreaming that the gypsies would come to take me away. I loved the music, dancing, color and whimsy of the gypsy. Their spirit spoke of freedom that my mid-western soul could not help but envy. I wanted to run away and find my place among those beautiful people.  And as an adult I still do. I love to dress in what I think of a a gypsy style.
