      Hello. My name is Betsy. The country, my friends, my family and parts of my life are a bit volatile, and I have decided to blog.      Last  week my country voted for one of the most controversial presidents ever presented. I am sad, I am scared for my friends who are minorities, LGBTQIA, non-christian and women, and I am angry. I am also resolved to stop being a bystander, and to get out there to start being the change I want to see in the world. I don't have a clear plan yet, but it is coming. I can feel it bubbling up.      The Friday after the momentous vote, I was privileged to be involved in my company's Veteran's Day flag raising. I was part of a team that assisted a local Junior ROTC group handle the ginormous flag that our company flies daily. I also got to speak to two lovely Honor Flight veterans and their wives while we were waiting for the gentlemen who would be sitting with them through the ceremony. I got a couple...

I was missing sharing my sometimes strange/ sometimes boring life with everyone, so I am reviving Foto Fridays.  Yep, I spell photo wrong to force the alliteration, deal with it. This will be a photo/foto look at my week. I hope you enjoy. Friday, September 2, 2016: Went with my husband, mother and sister to the Millersport Sweet Corn Festival. We ate 12 ears of corn (3 each) in roughly 10 minutes. I got the most delicious pumpkin donuts I have ever tasted. I also got a splinter in my thigh sliding across a bench, ouch. On Friday my mother and I wandered over to  The Columbus Commons  for the  Columbus Food Truck Festival . It was a gorgeous fall like Ohio night and we had a delicious time. After wandering around a bit, we finally decided to try Vietnamese food  from a truck called Mai Chau . Mom got a Bahn Mi sandwich with ginger slaw and lemon grass chicken and I got a noodle bowl with siracha pulled pork. Everything was so good and so fresh. Yum. Here is a look at some of the sights.
