Blessed Ostara!!

It's the Spring Equinox and wow does it feel like spring. I went out last weekend (before the crazy cough hit) and worked on clearing out some bushes and trees from my backyard. And now my backyard looks/is about twice the size. It is amazing.



Here are some shots of my Ostara decorations and my altar, all ready to add flowers and do my ritual. 

















This Saturday I am having an egg decorating party and will have more photos after that. It should be crazy fun. I am so excited.

Oh yes, it is so spring. A very blessed Vernal Equinox to you and yours. Love your altar and decorations. I didn't get the chance to do much here this year, but I've been outside enjoying the weather and spending time with all the beautiful green shoots bursting up in the garden and the little song birds and chipmunks in the gardens today.

Mad Tea Party 2011

Welcome to my Party!! Feel free to grab a cup and a chair.  The table is set and waiting.  Pretty veggies... All kinds of berries... The tea service awaiting the first guests... Zoe looks frightened...she doesn't trust mad people (how does she live with me? lol) I am all dressed up and ready to party.  With my cupcake socks.  And my tiny top hat (received in an Alice swap)  Cupcakes, Berries and are those cucumber sandwiches.  Pouring the tea for my party guests.  Berries, Candy and a full cup o tea.  Quoi??  Having a chat with my very mad Mother.  My Mothers amazing tea hat.  4 pots of tea consumed hundreds of laughs  good friends lots of food What a fabulous party!!  Thank you for stopping by, have a fabulous tea day.  Clean cup, move down. Betsy's Gypsy Dreams

When I was a little girl I would sit on my front porch reading and dreaming that the gypsies would come to take me away. I loved the music, dancing, color and whimsy of the gypsy. Their spirit spoke of freedom that my mid-western soul could not help but envy. I wanted to run away and find my place among those beautiful people.  And as an adult I still do. I love to dress in what I think of a a gypsy style.
