Things to share...

Image
Many awesome things have been happening recently, and I have made some awesome acquisitions as well as crafted some very cool things. I thought I would take a few minutes to share some of them. First off I was a lucky lucky girl and won a recent giveaway by the lovely Vannesa at  A Fanciful Twist . She is making these amazing bracelets using fabric scraps and bits of yarn and I won one of them. Yay. I got it in the mail this morning, and I love it. It's crazy and bright and makes my day. The pictures don't do it justice it is so dynamic. I am going to make myself some more of them too. Cause I like this one so much. :) We also acquired a new piece for our dining room recently. It is actually a bedroom chest of drawers given to us by Seth's brother and sister-in-law because they didn't have room for it in their new apartment. I decided that it should be in our dining room to be a bar and storage area. I like it there already. We even have our wine glasses and shot...

Book Shopping...

I have many things to share and to start it off. On Friday night Seth and I went to our local  Half Price Books . I was looking for a couple of things that I did not find, but I found some things I didn't know I was looking for. :) Isn't that the way with bookstores. I got all of this for about $35. Two books on handfasting rituals (for the wedding planning). Two books on the pagan holidays. I am hoping to find more in the future. I am planning to purchase the one on the Autumn Equinox by Ellen Dugan in the next couple of weeks.  A fantasy book I have heard really good things about.  And a graphic novel that just appealed  Oh and I picked up a copy of a classic.  Happy Reading!!

My Tarot Card.

I saw this on the blog  can we have a new witch ours melted  posted by the fantastic Leeanna and I decided that I absolutely had to play. Try it yourself and have fun. You are The Moon Hope, expectation, Bright promises. The Moon is a card of magic and mystery - when prominent you know that nothing is as it seems, particularly when it concerns relationships. All logic is thrown out the window. The Moon is all about visions and illusions, madness, genius and poetry. This is a card that has to do with sleep, and so with both dreams and nightmares. It is a scary card in that it warns that there might be hidden enemies, tricks and falsehoods. But it should also be remembered that this is a card of great creativity, of powerful magic, primal feelings and intuition. You may be going through a time of emotional and mental trial; if you have any past mental problems, you must be vigilant in taking your medication but avoid drugs or alcohol, as abuse of either will cause...

Life...Goals, Wedding, Zombies and more

First off I want to thank everyone who stopped by my tea party and to say a big hello to my new followers!! I can't wait to get to know you all. I so loved going to all the amazing blogs and their equally amazing parties. I am already starting to plot and plan for Halloween. I have some big ideas that I am really hoping I can make come to fruition. I've got plenty of time to work on things, so I'm sure I can make something amazing happen. Michael's is already getting Halloween and Fall items stocked in the stores, which is honestly just fueling the fire. I think I know what my costume is going to be, already, sad isn't it. Right now I am thinking of dressing as Alice from the SyFy miniseries. On a non Halloween note Seth and I are starting to review and will be touring some Wedding locations. We have several that we like and are considering. I will keep updates on final decisions and information. We are also going to start buying fabrics soon, so watch for that ...

Origins 2011

Image
Last Saturday, while the Mad Tea Parties were happening, I went with Seth and our friend, Jerry, to  Origins Game Fair . We arrived about 1pm and went straight to the food court to get Subway. On the way we found my friends Jen and Chris, who I hadn't seen in a couple of years. They came with us and we grabbed sandwiches and caught up a bit, before they had to go actually play a couple of games. We finished eating and headed down to the dealers room. Within a matter of minutes I had found the booth for  The Blonde Swan , which is an absolutely amazing hat shoppe. I looked a bit and almost instantly fell in love with an absolutely amazing hat. It was very similar to this one: Only I did not buy the crazy plumes. I did buy the hat though, and it is going to become part of my Wedding ensemble. Yay leather wedding hat. More shopping happened after that and I got... Plush Baba Yaga and Hut An awesome gaming system Chibithulu (lulu)  for Moira Reaper mini figur...
