Last Saturday, while the Mad Tea Parties were happening, I went with Seth and our friend, Jerry, to
Origins Game Fair. We arrived about 1pm and went straight to the food court to get Subway. On the way we found my friends Jen and Chris, who I hadn't seen in a couple of years. They came with us and we grabbed sandwiches and caught up a bit, before they had to go actually play a couple of games. We finished eating and headed down to the dealers room.
Within a matter of minutes I had found the booth for
The Blonde Swan, which is an absolutely amazing hat shoppe. I looked a bit and almost instantly fell in love with an absolutely amazing hat. It was very similar to this one:
Only I did not buy the crazy plumes. I did buy the hat though, and it is going to become part of my Wedding ensemble. Yay leather wedding hat.
More shopping happened after that and I got...
|
Plush Baba Yaga and Hut |
|
An awesome gaming system |
|
Chibithulu (lulu) for Moira |
Reaper mini figurines for painting.
|
Bobby Jo, Redneck Princess |
|
Vermina, Rat Queen |
|
Halloween Mouslings |
After shopping for a couple of hours we met back up with Jen and Chris, and their friend Amber. We all headed to BD's Mongolian Barbecue for dinner, which was great as always. Then we went back to the convention center so Chris could go to a LARP session. We hung around for a bit, which included getting photographed by some Democrats who were at the convention center to hear the Vice President speak and thought it was hilarious that the gaming convention was happening at the same time. Then we actually headed back to BD's to join a City of Heroes meet up, and meet some of our fellow players. All in all it was a great day.
And now just for fun some random Origins photos.
