       Several years ago I had a very vivid dream. In the dream I was the daytime face of a vampire. I would take care of his business that was not possible to handle at night, and set up appointments for him, etc. The feeling of the dream was that I had been in his employment for many years, so when he came to me to tell me that we had to move to Pittsburgh it was just a given that I would move my family to continue my employment.        I was incredibly reluctant to tell my husband that we were going to have to sell the house, and relocate, so I just kept putting it off. Every time I would begin the conversation something would happen, or it would seem like the wrong time.        Suddenly it was about a week before we were going to be making the official move, and the vampire confronts me to see whether I had let my husband know what was happening, and gotten our house sold, etc. I admit that no, I haven't. Friday, December 2, 2016 - A Satisfying Fortune Saturday, December 3, 2016 - Weekend with Grandma.  A friend had a baby shower in the area, so we spent the weekend with Seth's Grandma Mitch. Seth helped her put up her tree, and then we worked on a jigsaw puzzle. It was a really relaxing weekend.  Sunday, December 4, 2016: Heading home from Grandma's Monday, December 5, 2016: Got my new Member Card.  We support WOSU, our local NPR station, and we get a member card that apparently get us some amazing discounts and perks. I had no idea until the new one came.  Tuesday, December 6, 2016: Dungeons and Dragons Night - Fighting ogres and a couple of humping hobgoblins.  Wednesday, December 7, 2016: My badge holder exploded.  Thursday, December 8, 2016: Bingo Night Once a month I go with my sister and some friends to play Naughty Bingo. My Zoe.  Tuesday, November 29 - Got caught in the rain and bought Kermit Holiday Socks and a light up jingle bell bracelet.  Thursday, December 1 - Goals and reward board for the month of December!  More to come! I am spending the weekend with Seth's Grandma and a baby shower for a friend. Have a great weekend. 

The weeks since the election have been hard for me. I have been alternating between sorrow, anger, shock and incredulity. And also hope, love, support and beauty from the amazingly beautiful people that I call my friends. I have watched both division and coming together. This is not an easy time for anyone. I cannot help but be scared for my friends who are of color, non-Christian, LGBTQIA, women, and the many who are all of these things. I am aware that as a middle class white woman, that I am not at a huge risk, and actually stand on a lot of privilege. But I fear for my own reproductive rights, as a woman who is childfree by choice, and for my freedom of religion, as a woman who identifies as an eclectic cottage witch. I am standing tall, though, to be an ally to all those who may be a victim of the hate that seems to be so prevalent at this time. I want to help ensure that your voices are heard, and not to speak for you. I want to be a support system, but not impede your progress...

This was a fairly normal week. We didn't do any fun events, or go anywhere exciting, but it was very much a week in my life. Friday, September 9, 2016 : Had my first Starbucks in a couple of months, and a salad from BJ's Brewhouse for lunch. Later went out to dinner to celebrate my Father-in-law's birthday, then spent some time at my brother and sister-in-law's house. Saturday, September 10, 2016: Out for a bit in the morning to meet my mother's kitten, Dori. Then College Football for longer than we anticipated due to a rain delay.  Sunday, September 11, 2017: Had pumpkin pancakes with spiced apples for breakfast at Tommy's Diner. Then took a long walk on the scioto mile.  Monday, September 13, 2016: REWARD DAY!! Got another Lush Bath Bomb, this time Guardian of the Forest. I was missing sharing my sometimes strange/ sometimes boring life with everyone, so I am reviving Foto Fridays.  Yep, I spell photo wrong to force the alliteration, deal with it. This will be a photo/foto look at my week. I hope you enjoy. Friday, September 2, 2016: Went with my husband, mother and sister to the Millersport Sweet Corn Festival. We ate 12 ears of corn (3 each) in roughly 10 minutes. I got the most delicious pumpkin donuts I have ever tasted. I also got a splinter in my thigh sliding across a bench, ouch.
