A week until 30...

The last part of the week was a little crazy.

I took Thursday off, after having a minor panic attack, in order to finish writing a paper for my English class. It was totally worth the day, because I got a great paper written, and I was paid a great compliment from my professor. Said professor is really pushing me to become an English major. He pointed out that if I get my bachelor's degree in English I can just go take a test and then work as a paralegal anyway. I have to say that his words are getting through. He obviously sees something in me that is making him take such an interest in my major, and (let's be honest) that is the major I  really want to pursue. So now I am torn again. My mom said something that really made me think too. She said, sweets if you were really set on the paralegal path then what he said wouldn't effect you, and she's right. This quarter I am continuing with the paralegal path, but I may talk to my professor and see what the options are.

Friday night I finished a powerpoint presentation for intro to paralegal. I will be delivering that on Monday.(I did deliver it today, after a mild heart attack this afternoon because it didn't send correctly. I got a 120 out of 120 on it. w00t!!)

Saturday was a really exciting day. It started with me waking up, weighing myself and seeing 224.5 on the scale, which means that I am officially at 50 LBS LOST!!! And I tried on this amazing vintage jacket that I bought several years ago, but grew out of...lol. It is green, yellow and cream striped and totally fabulous.

Seth and I had lunch at the Spaghetti Warehouse. I so love that restaurant. They cover it in antiques and at ours there is a trolley in the middle with tables in it. Lunch was good and I was able to bring some home and have it for dinner too. :) After lunch we headed over to the Columbus Museum of Art. We had a great time walking around and playing with the interactive exhibits. I got to draw and share a picture of how I get myself inspired (I said carry a notebook/journal everywhere). We played rubber ducky checkers. Oh, and strangely, we looked at art. :) In the gift shop I picked up 5 postcards, a tiny blown glass frog and dynamite candles for the upcoming birthday party. The candles spark while they burn. :)

On Sunday we ran to Lane Bryant, and I got my "risque" undergarments. I'm going to spare you any photos of me wearing my new pieces, but they are too pretty not to share at least a little bit. I ended up with a bra, panties and matching garter belt. This is the garter belt. The photo makes it hard to tell but it is ballerina pink and black. The set is gorgeous and makes me feel so incredibly good. I just need to get myself a pair of thigh highs and I am set.

Sunday night I also ordered my pencil skirt from Torrid. It shipped today, so I should get it any day now. I just got a plain black for now, but if I like it, who knows? This is the skirt.

So... with a week to go until I am thirty here is where I stand.

29) Go rollerskating at least once every 2 weeks
30) Craft at least 5 items for myself.

I'm not sure if it is possible for me to get the rest done in a week, but I am so proud of how much I got completed off the list since January. I think I am going to extend myself to the end of the month to finish the rest of the list, just to get it done. Then I may start a new list of goals and give myself a couple of months to get it done. ;)

Go you! You are rocking that list of yours. I should make one for myself. Maybe that would kick my butt into gear on some things that have been lingering around here.
