Magical Monday - The week of the Lynx & Earth Warrior's Week!

Magical Monday

Rune(s) of the Week:

Ansuz: The As: Odin - This rune signifies a revealing message or insight, communication. Signals, inspiration, enthusiasm, speech, true vision, power of words and naming and receiving blessings, the taking of advice. Good health, harmony, truth, wisdom.
Everything you encounter has a message for you; learn from your environment. You are being called to acknowledge a powerful lesson, be prepared to let go of your preconceptions.

Tarot Card(s) of the week:

I actually drew the totem animal of the week card first, and drew The Lynx. I then picked up the Wildwood Tarot to start shuffling for the three card draw, and a card popped out of the deck. When I turned it over, there was the Lynx again. Hmm...apparently Lynx has an important message for me this week. Here is the Wildwood meaning for Lynx - Page of Stones: Pay attention to the physical realm, and be aware of the effects generated by everything you do. A strain of wildness and a lack of thought can sometimes hamper your forward passage, but careful consideration redresses the balance.

3 Card Sprd - Head, Heart Spirit

Head: Seven of Vessels: Mourning - Mourning begins the process of recovery after failure or bereavement. This process may even be unconscious, for we often do not realize that things were significant to us until they are gone. Mourning serves to ritualize the process of being at peace with loss and honor the passing of what is important and significant in a personal relationship. It allows the tidal flow of emotions to rise and fall naturally through the psyche, an bring a sense of closure or completion and peace. Whatever the loss, whoever the wake is being held for, let them go with love, and honor their passing.

Heart: Six of Arrows: Transition - The primal impulse here is to move beyond old boundaries and personal thought processes and deploy new methods of reasoning to resolve important issues. Some obstacles may challenge older methods, and new, more dynamic responses are required to adapt to a new set of paradigms. This can be an exciting process. The journey may be scary, since letting go of old and previously effective processes can be unsettling, but the unseen tides that drive the need to evolve are already pulling you to new experiences and places. Trusting in your own instincts and skills to absorb change is essential to overcome new situations. Take advantage of your subconscious forward momentum and ride the new wave with an open heart and a positive mental attitude.

Spirit: Knight of Stones: Horse - Healthy activity and self-sufficiency colour your path. Physical strength supports your decisions and pleasure is important. Daring, pride, and a love of the Earth lead you to attempt ever more amazing feats. Let the horse carry you.

 Totem for the Week:
from Medicine Cards by Jamie Sams and David Carson
Illustrated by Angela C. Werneke

18 Lynx: If you have pulled the Lynx card, you can be sure that "secrets" are afloat. If this is your personal medicine, you should listen to your higher self. Be still and pay attention to the revelations you receive either in the form of mental pictures or through a high singing voice in your inner ear. Perhaps you will receive information in the form of omens. You can be sure that mother Earth is signalling to you in some manner.
If Lynx is at your door, listen. Brother or Sister Lynx can teach you of your personal power and of things you have forgotten about yourself. Lynx can lead you to lost treasures, and connect you to forgotten brotherhoods or sisterhoods.

Thoughts:

Last week my reward board challenge for PSWOTY did not go as well as i might have liked, but rather than beat myself up about it I am just going to recommit myself this week. Not giving up when things get away from me is definitely something I need to work on. Getting right back on the horse.

The Tea with Tarot hosted by Cris and Charlie, was lovely, insightful and truly fun. If you are interested you can watch it by clicking here. The giveaway they mention was for some of the incense they were both using, Psychic Eye from White Witch Parlor, and some tea 'Polyjuice' Blend from Adagio. And, spoiler alert, I won it!! I am so excited. It was just the cherry on top of a lovely night.

On Thursday we, Seth and I, are headed to Clarksville, Ohio to attend my second Earth Warrior's Festival. This is the 9th year for the festival which is the brainchild of my friend, Heather. It is a 4 day long pagan event for adults 21+. There are so many amazing presenters coming to lead classes and rituals. If you are interested you can check out the festival website here. I am eagerly looking forward to the classes, the rituals, the music and dancing, the drumming, and just camping and having a good time. Only 2 days to go until we leave. :)

Blessings!
