Tying the knot Tuesday

On Friday night I was a little bored and thought, hey I should work on wedding stuff. So looking around I decided I had a good amount of button flowers made, so I got everything together and began to assemble my bouquet. I pieced and pieced and wove and when I looked at what I had made, I started to cry. I think it is done, other than wrapping the "stems" and it is beyond anything I had in my mind. I took pictures, but I don't think it does it justice. Seth's chainmail flowers, with the buttons, beads, feathers and the beautiful fall colored silk hydrangeas I found, it's just truly gorgeous. And somehow it made the wedding seem so much more real. So without further ado... The bouquet.








Seth and I are attending the wedding of a friend of mine this weekend. She and I have gone into our weddings very differently and I can not wait to see how hers reflects her. We actually joked together about taking similar posed pictures and laughing at the differences between the two weddings,

Mad Tea Party 2011

Welcome to my Party!! Feel free to grab a cup and a chair.  The table is set and waiting.  Pretty veggies... All kinds of berries... The tea service awaiting the first guests... Zoe looks frightened...she doesn't trust mad people (how does she live with me? lol) I am all dressed up and ready to party.  With my cupcake socks.  And my tiny top hat (received in an Alice swap)  Cupcakes, Berries and are those cucumber sandwiches.  Pouring the tea for my party guests.  Berries, Candy and a full cup o tea.  Quoi??  Having a chat with my very mad Mother.  My Mothers amazing tea hat.  4 pots of tea consumed hundreds of laughs  good friends lots of food What a fabulous party!!  Thank you for stopping by, have a fabulous tea day.  Clean cup, move down. Halloween Party 2010!!! - For Really This Time.

Who is this? Lurking above our chamber door? A raven?  "Evermore" croaks he. He has claimed his spot and refuses to leave. I am rather fond of him anyway, so as far as I'm concerned he can stay.  Of Course I keep a broom beside my doorway. Bristles up for protection, like a good witch I must admit that you are a little early for the party. I am still trying to get ready, but you can come inside and look around.  Black vines and fairy lights decorate the banister.  The sun shooting into the chandelier makes a creepy sight, especially with Halloween Buntings in Black and White.  Glitter skulls and spiderweb candle holders sparkle from the mantle.  Herbs, flowers and brooms hanging on the wall waiting for me to use them.  Silver skulls surround a batty candelabra in the center of the table.  Am I ready for the party?
