And It's November!!

October is over, sigh. So we move on to November. I have a tendency to pretty much skip this month entirely moving straight from Samhain to Yule and not stopping to enjoy the time between. So, to make myself appreciate November a bit more I am joining Creative Every Day in Art Every Day Month. Basically you challenge yourself to do something artistic/ creative every day. I am going to make an effort to do at least something small daily and to share at least once a week.

School is going well. I got an A on both my first essay for English and on my first Math test. I expect to do well in English, but the Math grade honestly shocked me. I'm really happy with how my classes are going. I hope I can keep it up.

I got an action photo today of the Shrek costume I made Seth's uncle in action. I'm really happy with how it turned out.

ok- seriously- you have to explore zentangles. http://tanglepatterns.com/ has a bunch of patterns. Draw a squiggly line to break up the paper (which is usually 3 1/2 inches square) and fill in the blanks with patterns. The "do something creative every day" will be no problem at all. I filled in the teacher's calendar squares on her desk at work today with tangles. She'll come to work tomorrow and see my pretty art!

Halloween Party 2010!!! - For Really This Time.

Who is this? Lurking above our chamber door? A raven?  "Evermore" croaks he. He has claimed his spot and refuses to leave. I am rather fond of him anyway, so as far as I'm concerned he can stay.  Of Course I keep a broom beside my doorway. Bristles up for protection, like a good witch I must admit that you are a little early for the party. I am still trying to get ready, but you can come inside and look around.  Black vines and fairy lights decorate the banister.  The sun shooting into the chandelier makes a creepy sight, especially with Halloween Buntings in Black and White.  Glitter skulls and spiderweb candle holders sparkle from the mantle.  Herbs, flowers and brooms hanging on the wall waiting for me to use them.  Silver skulls surround a batty candelabra in the center of the table.  Am I ready for the party? Mad Tea Party 2011

Welcome to my Party!! Feel free to grab a cup and a chair.  The table is set and waiting.  Pretty veggies... All kinds of berries... The tea service awaiting the first guests... Zoe looks frightened...she doesn't trust mad people (how does she live with me? lol) I am all dressed up and ready to party.  With my cupcake socks.  And my tiny top hat (received in an Alice swap)  Cupcakes, Berries and are those cucumber sandwiches.  Pouring the tea for my party guests.  Berries, Candy and a full cup o tea.  Quoi??  Having a chat with my very mad Mother.  My Mothers amazing tea hat.  4 pots of tea consumed hundreds of laughs  good friends lots of food What a fabulous party!!  Thank you for stopping by, have a fabulous tea day.  Clean cup, move down.
