So much fun... so little time.

We are headed to Newark (the one in Ohio not the one in NJ), my hometown, tomorrow to spend the day with my mom, go hiking, check out the Mopar cars in town for National Trails this weekend and have a bonfire night. Then on Sunday it is off to the zoo with Seth's family for another day of fun. Busy weekend, but hopefully incredibly good too.

Then to add to the list of amazing things I have going on right now, next Saturday I am headed to Cincinnati with my friend Jeff to see... Stevie Nicks. I can not explain to you how excited I am about this. He is paying for my way as long as I can get him there. I love her so much and I know this show will be amazing.

You know, this might be one of those things where your jaw drops open and all you can do is make little gasping noises, but I don't think I've ever heard a Stevie Nicks song. She's one of those singers I've always heard referenced in other songs or in comedy, but really don't know anything about. At any rate, here's hoping the concert is amazing! :)

Mad Tea Party 2011

Welcome to my Party!! Feel free to grab a cup and a chair.  The table is set and waiting.  Pretty veggies... All kinds of berries... The tea service awaiting the first guests... Zoe looks frightened...she doesn't trust mad people (how does she live with me? lol) I am all dressed up and ready to party.  With my cupcake socks.  And my tiny top hat (received in an Alice swap)  Cupcakes, Berries and are those cucumber sandwiches.  Pouring the tea for my party guests.  Berries, Candy and a full cup o tea.  Quoi??  Having a chat with my very mad Mother.  My Mothers amazing tea hat.  4 pots of tea consumed hundreds of laughs  good friends lots of food What a fabulous party!!  Thank you for stopping by, have a fabulous tea day.  Clean cup, move down. Betsy's Gypsy Dreams

When I was a little girl I would sit on my front porch reading and dreaming that the gypsies would come to take me away. I loved the music, dancing, color and whimsy of the gypsy. Their spirit spoke of freedom that my mid-western soul could not help but envy. I wanted to run away and find my place among those beautiful people.  And as an adult I still do. I love to dress in what I think of a a gypsy style.
