Visiting an Alternative Craft Fair.

So...when I wasn't getting my Halloween blog together yesterday I was meeting my little sister, the amazing Shmoo, and going to Craftin' Outlaws- Alternative Craft Fair.

I had attended this event in 2008 and knew I definitely wanted to go back. Things just happened to work out so that my little sister could come with me this year.Unfortunately neither of us remembered a camera, because we suck. :( We had so much fun though.

The first booth we came to was Sqeaky Queen. She had an array of amazing handmade soaps and such. I bought four of them...lol. My first purchases of the day. The ones pictured are rosemary mint and vampire. I also bought alchemy (which we are using in the shower right now and it smells amazing) and Beer Soap.

After this we walked around a bit and made our second purchaces of the day at Paper Acorn. They were the least expensive and most fun purchases we made. Paper mustaches on a stick. They are so much more amazing than they sound. Here I am modeling the Yosemite Sam model.

The next purchase I made was for this amazing journal from The Binding Bee. They were all handmade and beautiful. But the quote on this one just spoke to me and I had to have it. The quote reads "...And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom." - Anais Nin

Next I bought an amazing essential oil from Violette Market. The scent is Mick "magic pistol" McVay from their Diablo Canyon collection. They describe the scent as Smoky dark chocolate, deep spicy resins, thick black coffee, and murky dark amber.  It smells so incredibly good. I didn't take a picture, because it's a bottle of oil. 

I bought a fantastic fabric flower pin/hairpiece from MorninGlori. She also had the greatest stuffed creatures  and mounted creature heads. So incredibly creepy cute. 

Finally I bought a clutch purse from Flamestitch. It's pink sparkle vinyl and yes that is a sewing machine applique. 

Oh...I almost forgot. They also had a booth where for $5 you could have the Craftin' Outlaws logo put on your shirt. I was wearing my favorite holey sweater so I had it done. Viola. 

All in all a great time was had. I will go back again. 

Halloween planning is progressing. More to come on that front. Right now I need to go craft for the Samhain swap.  More very soon.
