Written Word Wednesday...


The Dark Half by Stephen King - This audiobook had me on the edge for several days. The creep factor of Mr. King is on high in this novel about an author who's pen name/alter ego takes on his own life and begins killing off the people he believes killed him. The alter ego is scary as hell and commits killings in the most gruesome and horrible ways as only Stephen King can create. A true nail biter from start to finish.

Oh! That sounds really scary! :) Thats the sort of thing that my dad would love. I'm more of a childrens book person myself but I do like a good scary book every now and then!

I'm not a big fan of Stephen King; my brother likes his books though (he's one of the few authors my brother will read).

Mad Tea Party 2011

Welcome to my Party!! Feel free to grab a cup and a chair.  The table is set and waiting.  Pretty veggies... All kinds of berries... The tea service awaiting the first guests... Zoe looks frightened...she doesn't trust mad people (how does she live with me? lol) I am all dressed up and ready to party.  With my cupcake socks.  And my tiny top hat (received in an Alice swap)  Cupcakes, Berries and are those cucumber sandwiches.  Pouring the tea for my party guests.  Berries, Candy and a full cup o tea.  Quoi??  Having a chat with my very mad Mother.  My Mothers amazing tea hat.  4 pots of tea consumed hundreds of laughs  good friends lots of food What a fabulous party!!  Thank you for stopping by, have a fabulous tea day.  Clean cup, move down. Betsy's Gypsy Dreams

When I was a little girl I would sit on my front porch reading and dreaming that the gypsies would come to take me away. I loved the music, dancing, color and whimsy of the gypsy. Their spirit spoke of freedom that my mid-western soul could not help but envy. I wanted to run away and find my place among those beautiful people.  And as an adult I still do. I love to dress in what I think of a a gypsy style.
